Chinese automakers are quickly gaining ground in the electric vehicle (EV) market by introducing a number of affordable EVs.

Lingbox just introduced the BOX Cai Wenji, a new inexpensive mini-EV.

BOX Cai Wenji is a rebadged all-electric version of the already fantastic Daihatsu Cast hatchback that belongs in the K-car segment. This tiny EV is in competition with SAIC’s Chery QQ, Changan Lumin Corn, and Wuling Honguang Mini EV.

With 19.2 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries that have a 220 km range, Lingbox will formally introduce the BOX Cai Wenji.

The top-tier variant will create 48 hp, while the low- and mid-tier variants will each produce 41 hp. On paper, BOX Cai Wenji outperforms all of its rivals in terms of power and range.

Several intriguing and practical aspects are included in BOX Cai Wenji. Access to the navigation, phone, music, radio, and autonomous driving features is made possible by a floating touch screen. It also has climate control, a USB port, a 12-volt socket, hazard lights, and an engine start/stop button.

The vehicle’s driver can view the range, speed, battery charge, and rate of energy consumption on an all-digital driver’s display

The sticker price of the BOX Cai Wenji is comparable to Rs. 1.8 million, which is significantly less than the Suzuki Alto, the most popular economic vehicle in Pakistan.
