Power Tariff Increase for September Approved by NEPRA

The monthly fuel cost adjustment (FCA) fees for ex-WAPDA distribution companies

(DISCOs) have approve by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) with a modest increase of Rs. 0.081 per unit.

The FCA for September will be billed in November bills in accordance with the NEPRA’s announcement.

According to NEPRA, the FCA will not apply to K-Electric customers and will instead be applicable to all customer categories of DISCOs with the exception of lifeline and electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS).

The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA-G) had sought an increase of Rs. 0.2 per unit in terms of FCA for September, which is pertinent to highlight here.
