Here is the T20I head-to-head record between Pakistan and New Zealand

On Wednesday, November 9 at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Pakistan

and New Zealand will square off in the crucial semifinal match of the 2022 T20 World Cup.

The two sides will compete fiercely to advance to the mega-final, event’s where they will take on the winner of either England’s or India’s second semi-final.

The two teams have had quite different starts to the 2022 T20 World Cup. While Pakistan was, to put it mildly, unpredictable, it still managed to qualify ahead of a quality South African team while New Zealand was at its best during the Super 12.

One of the most successful teams in the T20I format is Pakistan

Since the format’s debut, Pakistan and New Zealand have played each other in a number of thrilling contests. The Men in Green have the advantage against the Kiwis after 28 T20I matchups between the two teams. While the Blackcaps have 11 victories, the Green Shirts have 17.

There have been six T20 World Cup matches in which the two teams have faced off. New Zealand has only triumphed twice, while Pakistan has won four times. Before winning the second match in the 2009 T20 World Cup, Pakistan won the first meeting between the two teams in 2007.

While the Green Shirts won the fourth game in 2010, New Zealand won the third. In the 2016 edition, New Zealand came back with a vengeance, whereas Pakistan triumphed in their last match at the Sharjah-hosted 2021 T20 World Cup.

Only one of the six T20 World Cup matches, which pitted the two nations against one another in the semi-final, was a knockout match. On that occasion, Pakistan triumphed after completing the 144-run chase with six wickets and seven balls remaining.Zealand
