The players with experience playing in T20 leagues around the world really shone, Sammy said in response to the Men in Blue’s humiliating exit from the recently finished T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

The World  champion from 2012 and 2016 continued by saying that even though Indian cricketers compete in the biggest T20 league in the world, they lack the same level of experience as players who compete in leagues from other cricketing nations.

It is important to note that the team lead by Rohit Sharma made it to the semifinals, although their performance overall was subpar, particularly the semifinal loss to England at Adelaide Oval by 10 wickets.

Additionally, they lost to Pakistan and New Zealand during the T20 World Cup last year in the UAE, preventing them from progressing past the quarterfinals. As a result, the legendary batsman Virat Kohli was forced to step down as the captain of the Indian national team.
